Round 2: Broadlands
The second round of the Summer League was fished with 3 sections on the Canal and 2 on the Main Lake in blistering hot weather, but the carp showed in some areas on the Canal and plenty of small roach on the Main Lake. Unsurprisingly the top weights all came from the Canal Lake. Steve Pomeroy (Hansfords MG) drew peg 24 and fished corn and pellet on the hook at 9 and 12 metres taking a net of small carp to 2lbs along with a few skimmers for a winning weight of 52lbs 5ozs. Tony Butler (Thames Angling) was runner up with a similar attack at 13 metres and he managed 45lbs 3ozs from peg 8. Allan’s marine Black won the day with 39 points with Sensas Bordon runners up with 38points.
