Avon Valley Summer League

 

Round 1: Passies Match Lake 26th June 2005

Round 1:
 Ten teams lined the banks of Passies Match Lake for the first round of the Avon Valley Summer League. The sun shone and the resident fish fed, if only the bites had been hittable the competitors would have thought they were in Angling Heaven. On the day the average weight was nearly 20lb, made up mainly from F1's, Skimmers, and Roach. The venues Carp also put in an appearance and these decided the top individuals. Winner on the day from peg 1 was Ian Dixon (Bordon Angling Center Sensas) with 10 Carp for 75-5-0. Runner up on peg 55 was Bryce Kearney (Allan's Marine Black) with a mixed bag for 48-6-0 taken at 11m on soft pellet. Teams on the day, 1st drawn on peg 3 were Bordon Angling Center, 2nd from peg 1 were Thames Angling Centre and 3rd drawn on peg 2 were Allans Marine Black.
